AL West foes Los Angeles Angels and World Series Champion Houston Astros to visit The Stadium


The New York Yankees will return home to Yankee Stadium on Friday for a six-game homestand. The Yankees will host two AL West teams, with three games from Fri., May 25 – Sun., May 27 vs. the Los Angeles Angels, and three games from Mon., May 28 – Wed., May 30 vs. the Houston Astros, marking a rematch of 2017 AL Championship Series.


The Yankees will get the homestand underway on Friday, with Yankees Freezer Glass Night. The promotion, presented by Budweiser, will be distributed to the first 18,000 guests ages 21-and-older.


In continuing efforts to inspire and engage young fans, the Yankees will host the third-annual PLAY BALL WEEKEND, a Major League Baseball-led initiative aimed at celebrating youth baseball and softball participation. On Sun., May 27, the first 10,000 guests 14-and-younger will receive a Yankees Arm Sleeve. The Yankees will also host approximately two thousand youth players and coaches for a pregame parade.


Rounding out the homestand, the Yankees will host the defending World Series champion, the Houston Astros, for a Memorial Day game with a 1:05 p.m. start time. The Yankees will wear special Memorial Day-themed camouflage uniforms to honor the country’s armed forces and remember those who died protecting our nation.


Additionally, please note that Wednesday’s series finale is scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch with all Stadium gates opening at 5:00 p.m.


In an effort to provide fans with increased opportunities to watch the Yankees take batting practice, Gates 6 and 8 will open at 4:00 p.m. on Fri., May 25 and Sat., May 26. Guests entering the park at that time will be able to view batting practice from the Bleachers and 100 Level outfield sections of the Stadium.



Ticket specials this homestand will include: Sat., May 26 (Youth Game); Sun., May 27 (Youth Game); Mon., May 28 (Senior Citizen/Youth/Military Personnel Game); Tues., May 29 (Military Personnel Game); and Wed., May 30 (Student/Military Personnel/Mastercard Half-Price Game).
