Raised in a family of professional and collegiate athletes, including being the daughter of longtime NBA star and current New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek, Abbybrings a unique insight and perspective to the 120 Sports team. A graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Public Relations and minor in sports media, she began building her career as a sports anchor and features reporter for Fox Sports Arizona and at the 2015 and 2016 NBA Summer League. Hornacek also served as the San Diego Prep Insider co-host for Fox Sports San Diego and as a freelance reporter for ESPN. Her experience interacting with fans and athletes on-site, in the studio and through social media aligns perfectly to 120 Sports’ mission.
In addition, Hornacek is a standout athlete on her own, displaying her skills as a member of the sand volleyball team at USC and training with the USA Volleyball Beach program. In the summer of 2012, she won the USA Junior National Beach Championship 18s and as a member of the USA National Beach Team placed fifth at the USA High Performance Beach Championships.
