Alex Rodriguez, Chris Young and Chase Headley each hit RBI doubles for the Yankees, who entered the All-Star break with wins in four of their last five games. Nathan Eovaldi (9-2) surrendered just three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts over five frames. Xander Bogaerts finished with two hits and two RBI for the Red Sox, while starter Wade Miley (8-8) gave up all six runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Nieuwenhuis homered in his first three at-bats, then struck out in his fourth. He drove in four runs and Daniel Murphy added a solo homer for the Mets, who won four in a row to enter the All-Star break with a 47-42 record. Jon Niese (5-8) started in place of injured rookie Steven Matz and threw 6 2/3 innings for the win, allowing three runs and five hits. Jeurys Familia worked around a walk in the ninth for his 27th save.All-Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt hit a solo homer for Arizona, which fell to 42-45 going into the break.
