“Perfect” Night at the Steiner Store! Yankees “Perfect Game” Pitchers Don Larsen, David Cone and David Wells to Appear on Wednesday, October 8, at Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island

New York, October 6—It will be a “Perfect” Night at the Steiner Store on Wednesday, October 8. Don Larsen, David Cone and David Wells, the only three Yankees standouts hurlers to ever pitch a PERFECT GAME in the storied history of the franchise, will appear together at the Steiner flagship Long Island location from 6:30 to8:00 PM at Roosevelt Field Mall (630 Old Country Road) in Garden City.  The trio will celebrate the 58th Anniversary of Larsen’s “Perfecto,” the only one ever pitched in World Series history.

Larsen gained immortality by pitching the only Perfect Game in World Series history on October 8, 1956.

The perfect threesome will be available to sign autographs, pose for photos, and to meet and greet fans from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Cone and Wells will be signing Balls and Flats for $99, as well as jerseys, bats and other equipment for $129. Larsen will be signing any item for $49.

Combo tickets are also available for $199. For tickets and more information call the Steiner Store at 516-739-0580 or 800-242-7139.

David “Boomer” Wells threw the second perfect game in Yankees history (and the 13th in regular season history) on May 17, 1998, against the Minnesota Twins. He was the MVP of the 1998 ALCS in 1998. He ironically graduated from the same high school as Don Larsen, Point Loma High School in San Diego, California. In 2000, at age 37, he became the second-oldest pitcher to win 20 games. He has World Series rings with the Blue Jays and Yankees.

David Cone, now an analyst for YES Network, is the strikeout artist who endeared himself to New York Yankees fans for his gutsy clutch performances and for hurling a perfect game on July 18, 1999. Cone compiled a 194-126 record, 3.46 ERA and 2,688 strikeouts in his 17-year major league career. He captured the American League Cy Young Award in 1994 and was a five-time All-Star.  The Kansas City, Mo. native, known for coming up big in critical games, posted an 8-3 post-season record, and played on five world championship teams with the Blue Jays and Yankees. Another irony, Wells’s championships also came in New York and Toronto.
