New York Yankees Notes – Kelley plays catch, Beltran takes dry swings, Tex has wrist soreness
- Shawn Kelley (back) played catch from 75 feet this afternoon. The reliever is expected to be sidelined for another couple of weeks.
- Carlos Beltran (elbow) took 15 dry swings from both sides of the plate today and felt good. Beltran is hoping to avoid elbow surgery which would cost him around two months if needed.
- Mark Teixeira was scratched from today’s game with a stiff right wrist. Manager Joe Girardi said he expects Teixeira to return Tuesday night.
