PUBLICOLOR STAFF MEMBERS TO SIT IN JUDGE’S CHAMBERS ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 19, AS PART OF YANKEES ‘HONOR ROW’ PROGRAM

As part of their “Honor Row” initiative, the Yankees will welcome a group of children and staff members from Publicolor in the Judge’s Chambers for their 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday, August 19.

Based in New York City, Publicolor is a long-term youth development program that engages high-risk students with a continuum of design-based programs that mentor them for success throughout their academic and professional careers.

Earlier this month, members of the Yankees’ front office joined Publicolor to help paint and transform an outdoor recreational space at P.S. / I.S. 218 in the Bronx. Primarily utilized by students of the school, the playground area is regularly used by students of the school and by the community during non-school hours.

New in 2018, the Yankees’ Honor Row is a monthly initiative that honors community-based organizations committed to making a positive difference by hosting them in the Judge’s Chambers seating section at Yankee Stadium. Each group of 18 takes in the game from the Judge’s Chambers and receives official Judge’s Chambers robes and foam gavels.
